Review of Intermission (2003) by Richard B — 10 Aug 2009
I liked this film quite a bit, it was like an Irish version of Crash (came out before Crash actually), but with some comedy mixed in. It didn't try to be a Guy Ritchie type film either, which I thought it might.
The ensemble cast is great and I really liked Colin Farrell, Cillian Murphy, and Kelly Macdonald. Two very minor problems is that there are so many characters, some go quite some time with appearing on screen, and the other problem is the accents of all the actors took like 5-10 minutes of getting used to (I almost turned on the subtitles in the beginning).
Overall a great story with drama, comedy, and even a little romanace told in a really cool way with some great acting.
