Review of Intermission (2003) by Nick M — 06 Apr 2004
Today I was thinking about college. I am looking forward to it, but the the more I think about it, the less I anticipate it. I?m sure I will miss everyone and everything that I leave behind. At least I have all the worries about where I am going to college out of the way. I'm going to St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, and yes, I am pissed about their loss in the NCAA. I have so many questions about college. I guess it?s a good thing that I have 2 brothers and a sister who have already passed (or are in) college to answer them. For some reason I worry about failure. I don?t mean to be pessimistic, but I feel like I have this cloud hanging over me. My brothers and sister all did very well in college and I feel like I have a lot of expectations to live up to. I told my dad about this and he just says, ?Oh, I?m sure you will do fine?. I don't know what to major in though! As of now, I am going into Marketing with a minor in Film. Lately, I have become less interested in business (which is what my dad does and my brothers and sister major(ed) in). Usually a student changes their major easily. I don't know if I want to do that. I am going to St. Joe's basically because I loved the school and they had a very good business school. I think that if I switch into another major, I will not be in the best program at the school. Then I start to think that I could have went to a better college for what I want to concentrate on.O..it's all so frustrating. I guess I should stop looking at it that way and look at it as an opportunity to learn a lot. I am happy that I have become more eager to learn over the past couple of years. It is good timing heading into college. .
...I have to go, so I'll just post my thoughts on the films I viewed this week tomorrow..
