Review of Intermission (2003) by Donna A — 20 Oct 2004
[font=Comic Sans MS][size=4][color=royalblue]I?ll admit that this movie may not work for some people. There are over 40 characters in this movie, and no real central plot. But for me, that is what made this film so entertaining.
After starting off with a pretty disturbing beginning, the movie just keeps going from there. Not saying the film is all together disturbing, but it can be that way from time to time.
The characters in this movie are for the most part the ugliest people you will ever see. I don?t mean appearances, I mean ugly as in horrible people who do really bad things.
But all of them are so interesting, and keep your attention through some of the movies more rougher points. And they are all people who aren?t connected normally, but are tied together by a break up of two young lovers. You?ll have to see the movie to understand how this is.
I would recommend this film to anyone who likes different ways of storytelling. This is an original movie, with a fantastic cast. Even with the film being dark and ending on a lite heartedly, this film is worth seeing!
