Review of Intermezzo: A Love Story (1939) by Mark S — 13 Jun 2011
*** (out of four).
A well made and reasonably enticing love story that takes its time and leisurely tells it tale. It is a little too leisurely at times, however.
Leslie Howard plays a violinist who has been away on tour. When he returns home to Sweden he falls for his children's piano teacher, played by Ingrid Bergman.
Bergman is radiant as always and here she plays the same role she played earlier in the Swedish language version.
