Review of Intacto (2001) by Angela K — 08 Mar 2008
This film is nuts.
'Intacto' is based around a really interesting concept that relates to lots of philosophical questions. Some of which are actually interesting.
I think Fresnadillo strives to capture the intensity of his central story rather than dwell on the more thought-provoking stuff, which works fine but leaves the viewer feeling a little short-changed once the credits roll.
Overall good, understated stuff that is crying out for a Hollywood remake.
Comes across like a mix between a David Lynch flick and Chris Nolan.
Worth seeking out.
