Review of Intacto (2001) by Vin Mariani — 13 May 2008
The sense of mood and the "other world" style really elevated what could've been a dull picture. It plays with the idea of high-stakes and luck, particularly in what it means to different people, really well and in a surprisingly unique fashion.
I knew I was going to like the movie (unfortunately it took me years to see it), but I was surprised that there were parts of it I loved. An expertly directed picture, too. Damn, what a good surprise.
