Review of Insurgent (2015) by Diogomendes — 26 Aug 2015

Honestly? It's better than its predecessor, "Divergent". The cast is great, especially Miles Teller who gives a pretty likable performance, even if its character is totally underutilized and uninteresting. In fact, all the characters are mediocre and the screenplay tries hard to make the viewers care about what they're seeing, but it just fails badly. The movie, however, unlike the first one, is much better paced and ends much more quickly. But ultimately, a terrific cast can't save an already weak franchise from the muddled history that plagues it.
