Review of Instinct (1999) by Toby M — 15 Apr 2012

I'm not sure why this a negative reaction, but it may be due to the slow pace and deep-rooted "thinking movie". It's not that I think that only "smart people would "get it". The film was easy to understand, but it required some backround that the film din't suppl enough of. And- I think most people just want to relax after working, and braniac films are NOT the movie most want to and be (and I use the term loosely) entertained by what they watch.

So, if you're at home on a quiet night and won't have to miss several minutes of the movie you might like it.

I watch it the first time on a hungover Sunday in spring during college, so my constant use of Nature's Finest Flowering Plant* and sheer exhaustion might have put me in the perfect situationt to absorb all it's subtleties.
