Review of Instinct (1999) by Shane C — 29 Jul 2012
A rather dull story that just didn't resonate with me at all. I love Cuba and he does a fine job here and Hopkins is always on top of his game but Instinct never seemed to go anywhere. The writing tended to be a bit cheesy and the story seemed to be recycled from numerous other prison movies.
..the only thing that seemed original was the gorilla back story which almost seemed out of place. Not sure I would recommend this to anyone but I wouldn't go out of my way to tell someone not to watch it either.
