Review of Insomnia (2002) by Ryan M — 13 Jul 2011
This is actually an underrated film I think. I love murder mysteries like this, and the feel of the movie is great. Very cold, isolated atmosphere. The one problem I had was the script wasn't that full.
A lot of the dialogue between Pacino and Robin Williams was unnecessary and redundant. Probably could have shaved half of their screen time together. Nolan does the best that he could though with what the writing gave him.
Oh and Hilary Swank is always amazing. My favorite actress of this generation other than Kate Winslet.
