Review of Insomnia (2002) by Tylor — 20 Dec 2011
Featuring bold performances by Robin Williams and Hillary Swank, this is Pacino's movie. He carries it through as a cop living in Alaska who is kept awake by the never-setting sun, his guilt and his obsession with solving a murder.
Hard to know who's the real villain, and that's what makes the movie work, in my opinion. The constant light is indeed unsettling.
