Review of Insomnia (2002) by Mark N — 04 Apr 2012
It took Nolan to finally get a good performance out of latter day Pacino. Playing to his sleepy, weird acting strengths of recent years he takes the lead in a murder mystery in the beautifully eerie landscape of Alaska.
A good story was assured from the original Norwegian movie and the casting of Williams as a calculating murderer was no stretch after the excellent One Hour Photo. Suspenseful with some well crafted plot turns makes this one of the better suspense thrillers in recent memory.
