Review of Insomnia (2002) by Chris A — 25 Jun 2012
I loved the dark tone that this movie took on. Pacino being dazed and confused while investigating the murder case was great! I think what was really telling to the viewer about Pacino's state of mind was one scene in particular: He was asking the restaurant worker/hotel manager what she thought of him after he explained to her his predicament regarding a case where he had planted evidence against a man he knew was gulity, but was initailly let off.
Since that point, Pacino had been under investigation and found himself brooding over that fact. I found this to be a powerful scene in the movie, and Pacino acted out the scene beautifully. Insomnia is a quality film that further illustrates Pacino's greatness as an actor.
