Review of Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015) by Allison T — 12 Jun 2015
Sometimes, people need to understand that you can't just rate a horror movie based off how many times you jumped or actually got scared. That's only part of it. It's also about plot consistency and I feel like Insidious Chapter 3 did just that.
I can't tell you how many horror films I've seen where the sequel or prequels sloppily stray away from the originals story line and instead of actually connecting all the events, it's just all these different stories that have nothing to do with each other.
Characters were honestly well defined, Lin Shaye & Stephanie Scott had me nearly cheering and this movie broke several tropes that had me pulling my ends with the horror genre now a days. This might just be my insidious bias talking, but I give it 5 stars and 9/10.
Say what you will, but I thoroughly enjoyed the movie.
