Review of Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013) by Chibichibi N — 02 Sep 2014

When reviewing this movie if you're looking for a horror movie you're not going to review this highly. I felt this was really a completely different genre it was more into the idea of horror adventure.

So for me it was more of a kind of Odyssey adventure meets elements of horror but that said I felt it was an adventure, an adventure worth taking. I felt like the element of connecting the first movie with the second movie as far as a certain storyline fit very well and was not tacked on.

I find it a little disappointing that critics didn't really make a point to connect this idea of a new type of genre being introduced. So here I am writing a review in hope said people that enjoy horror and are drawn to the idea of adventure might catch themselves watching this and bring support to this new genre that was born.

I have to say though as far as scary is concerned I do believe there was probably 2 - 3 moments that scared me. For those critics who say the story was unnecessary, I felt it actually added to the story line overall and was a step in the correct direction when it came to telling the next chapter of the story.

Looking for something new and fresh go see this and go in with an open mind and be prepared for an adventure not a horror movie.
