Review of Insidious (2011) by Jesse Z — 23 Jul 2013

Even though Insidious barely stands up to prior ghost movies and stories that are actually scary and borrows a lot of predictable influence from said prior films, but it's more of an entertaining ghost tale over anything else.

I feel that Insidious is to Paranormal Activity is what Die Hard is to Terminator; a fun entertaining scare flick instead of a darker more uptight one. So Insidious is good because the actors combined with the atmosphere being set up here makes for a decent enough horror flick.
