Review of Insidious (2011) by Alex M — 22 Oct 2013
Strong, unique horror film with an incredible tone established primarily through the eerie and excellent score. The first half of this film is the pinnacle of the creepy haunted house subgenre, however, the latter half seems to fall on its overly-creative face, giving the film a dissatisfying conclusion.
Overall, one of the better American horror films in recent years.
