Review of Insidious (2011) by Galen A — 10 Dec 2013

This is the best serious horror film I've seen in years. This was incredibly original, suspensful, well paced, and full of fantastic visual effects. I thought it was better than the Sixth Sense and the film seems to be heavily influenced by the colorful atmospheric 70's and 80's Italian horror films like Suspiria and The Beyond and it works really well here.

I would put it in a class with The Others as well as some of those Italian films.
