Review of Insidious (2011) by Riff J — 03 Apr 2018
The premise is interesting, and all the ingredients for a good horror film are present, yet they don't add up to the sum of their parts. Insidious has 1 or 2 nice twists... yet my (basic) definition of a horror means the movie delivers more than just a few jump-scares. Unfortunately imho Insidious didn't do much more than that.
Side note: Patrick Wilson does a fine job in his role, again, and is well on his way to becoming a successful horror actor.
