Review of Inside Out (2015) by Eduardo Z — 23 May 2018
Usually Disney movies are attended for kids, but this movie can bring an adult to tears. A thriller movie directed by Pete Doctor, really made this film unique and enjoyable.
The story takes place in Minnesota to San Francisco and in the mind of the main character Riley. IN this movie Riley doesn't only face problems in reality but also with her emotions. Riley has 5 main emotions, which are, Joyness, Anger, Sadness, fear, and disgust. They all play a huge role in Riley's behavior. Joyness is the leader of them all trying to keep Riley out of trouble.
As Riley was living a fantastic life with her amazing friends, hockey team , friends back in Minnesota, sadly that all changed when her father tells her they have to move to San Francisco for his job. This effected Riley's life dramatically, her emotions didnt know how to react to the news.
In San Francisco Riley had nothing, no friends or team. She became home sick right off the back and while she was dealing with that, her emotions were having trouble trying to keep Riley calm and happy, which wasn't going too well at all.
As the movie keeps going Riley would realize that what shes about to do is extremely wrong and out of her character that she backs out. Her emotions also eventually realized that its not all up to joy to keep Riley happy, they need all 5 emotions to work together in order for Riley to live a happy life.
Eventually Riley adjusts to her "New Life" and makes the best out of San Francisco.
