Review of Inside Llewyn Davis (2013) by Sammy M — 16 Apr 2014
It is always a treat when the Coen brothers come out with a new movie, and this is no exception. The Coen brothers' writing is unlike any other and the best there is. They manage to create a serious, dramatic film filled with subtle (or sometimes not so subtle) jokes cohesively time after time.
With the combination of serious hardship and comedy, it was easy to envision this as someone's actual life. I never found it to be dragging on at any point, in fact I didn't want it to end. While this is not the best movie the Coen brothers have ever made, it is still up to their high standards.
