A thoughtful, sensitive exploration of what life is really like for most artists who don't hit the jackpot, but somehow keep going anyway. As played by Oscar Isaac, Llewyn Davis is an anti-hero for our times (despite the 1960s setting.
) Neither a very good man or a really bad one, his chronic tendency towards self-sabotage is anchored by a kind of helpless artistic integrity.
