I've always affectionately deemed this one "Martin and Lewis in a sci-fi action movie". Really, I've always thought of Joe Dante as "Frank Tashlin if he did horror/sci-fi". Anyhow, not his finest hour, but pretty much all of his work before Back in Action is a delight.
