Review of Inland Empire (2006) by Mononc M — 06 Jul 2008

THE biggest disapointment i've had in movies so far. I was expecting a mix of Lost Highway and Mulholland Dr. Read: a big helluva son of a b*tch movie! I even bought the movie at full price 30$ without renting it first so much my confidence in Lynch was high. Result: weird wanna-be documentary mixed with his movie style? Some scenes are soooooo long and useless. I suspect Lynch from falling asleep on the set and the cameraman going "Well he didn't say cut so i'll keep filming" then Lynch wakes up 10 minutes later and go "CUT!" and ends up keeping all those extra garbages later on in the studio.

Note: the movie isn't extremely awful, it's just that I was expecting alot. It still has it's good Lynchian scenes that I went ''ahhh there we go'' but it doesn't last. It always go back to the never-ending documentary crap style scenes.
