Review of Inland Empire (2006) by Brian S — 16 Feb 2011
A somewhat disappointing film that shares a lot with David Lynch's previous film, Mulholland Drive. It's a surrealist mind bender that starts to cave-in due to too much. Inland Empire feels like old ideas Lynch had with 'Drive,' but couldn't fit them in the first time, and then put them together to make a very confusing film for the sake of confusion.
It's long too. Very long.
