Having nothing at all to do with the previous Silent Night's about a killer dressed as Santa.
Initiation tells the tale of a beautiful reporter investigator the fiery suicide of a young woman and comes across a man-hating cult trying to reincarnate the leader's dead daughter.
As with most Brian Yuzna movies what it lacks in story makes up for it in disgusting special effects.
The always great Clint Howard shows up as Ricky(no relation to the killer Santa in parts 2 & 3)as a demented homelessman helping out the cult.
