Review of Inherit the Wind (1960) by Hannah M — 06 Feb 2007
Taking the issue of religion. Not to say that religion is a good or a bad thing, but to say that a man should have the right to choose what he thinks was blasphemous at the time. The positions of Tracy and March are so strong that their friendship cracks in half. However, we see that man should be free to decide what he chooses to believe or not believe in.
The position of Henry Drummond is made clear in final scene, when he places the bible next to the Darwin. That scene so powerful and real in regards of how many men think. Also the "Ole Time Religion" Hymnal is one the most beautiful themes any film has ever had.
