Review of Inherit the Wind (1960) by Amanda B — 12 Dec 2007
We were dragged to a stage adaptation of this for school back when I was way too young to appreciate it, and it bored the crap out of me. Since then, it has become one of my favorite stories of all time.
The issue at hand is timeless, and the dialogue is just perfect. The two lead roles are awesome, and Tracy and March knock it out of the park. I can't use the word "awesome" enough in describing this.
I love it on stage. I love it on film. I love it.
