Review of Inherit the Wind (1960) by Sebastián S — 02 Jan 2012
I asked my buddy Oscar and he gave me this quote to shape my opinion into words, "you seem to me to be in every way the visible personification of absolute perfection". If you were to have a highlight reel of this movie it would be the entire movie.
The direction captures the amazing performances in a way that it shows that even the people off-camera are elite, the writing is the equivalent of intellectual-philosophical pornography, so rich and powerful; every other line out of Spencer Tracy's and Gene Kelly's mouth make you run for pen and paper.
I love this movie and the heroes of it. It also builds empathy by showing the cruelty that facist religious dogma's have towards freedom of existence.
