Review of Inherent Vice (2014) by Zachary Y — 18 Jan 2015
Joaquin is hilarious as the clueless private-eye constantly in a marijuana haze and Brolin compliments him well as a "renaissance-cop" and cop-actor, oddly enough. Martin Short's brief cameo as a coked-up dentist with a harum of women, but the film soars in its capturing of the Pynchon style and its visually understated directing, new for PTA this time around.
