Review of Ingrid Goes West (2017) by Katrina J — 30 Dec 2017
Ingrid Goes West depicted a non-unusual storyline of society today. Insta-famous people are praised and "friends" online are considerably different than real life connection. Although it's a comedy and didn't dive too deep into the pressures of social media, Aubrey Plaza gained my sympathy with her outrageous character.
The movie in full felt like a long episode of a television show, but was entertaining throughout. Plaza brought a different dynamic to the cinematic feel, she felt less crazy and more relatable although being mentally unstable.
