Review of Inferno (2016) by Michael D — 28 Oct 2016

Inferno Quickie: Why would they make a third installment to one of the dumbest trilogies of all time. Atleast The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons were fun but so dumb. Inferno is the weakest in Ron Howard's Dan Brown adapted book trilogy.

The chemistry between Tom Hanks and Felicity Jones is not even seen just like all the other main characters in all the other films! They are two polar opposites people say opposites attract but in here not once does that happen.

Th writing is so bland and it's leading to a film that never should have happened it takes such a long time to get to the point and tries to put in a plot reveal every single minute. Ron Howard's direction has also hit a new low it makes you so bored and it stays at the same angle all the time and is really choppy with the editing the transition sequences are so badly done.

The dialogue in this film is honestly so bad they start saying words that sound really important but really it's just making you cringe. The acting:Tom Hanks was actually trying I think he's one of the best actors we've ever had and I feel in this whole production he was the one who tried to make a change.

Felicity Jones is at her worst I felt like she could have done something better but here she's just yapping in Hanks's ear and walking around with him like a duck and it's child! The most impressive performance in here is Irrfan Khan he was the most definitive part in this production but he barely has any screen time! The character development is honestly terrible in the first 5 minutes you meet Felicity and in the cop sequence you have to somehow connect with her.

And she barely develops neither anybody does throughout this film. The biggest issue I had with this film was the Tom Hanks thought sequences, they are such Jason Bourne knockoffs and get really repetitive throughout the runtime.

Overall, Inferno is rushed, crammed, sloppy and a big mess. I recommend to save your money for next week's Doctor Strange. 2/5 ROTTEN.
