It's been 7 years since the last Robert Langdon film was released, now the Professor is back.

Prof. Robert Langdon wakes up on a hospital in Florence, Italy suffering of Amnesia, apparently he is being hunted by an evil corporation and some feds, with the help of Sienna Brooks he escapes, and discovered that he knows, the secret of an apparently virus that could destroy humanity. Now he has to find it while avoiding the people who wants to put him down.

The film now has changed the rhythm of its predecessors, it is fast paced that some viewers may get lost, now the plot is more serious, while the previous films focused on spiritual, scientific and religious themes, this one focus on ... well saving humanity. However I liked how the characters were treated on this film, they had its backstory making it more dramatic and giving them a goal or something to keep on. However on the third act the film decreases its quality giving a happy ending instead of the chaotic ending the book had. It felt forced that disappoints and agains falls on cliches.

I think the film had everything to make it better that the last two films, but that chance was lost. However as always Tom Hank's performance was cool, being this the best film he plays the Professor, cause in this ocassion you care more for him.

I liked the film, despite its disappointing ending, it may entertein you, I consider it the second best of the trilogy, it lacks the adrenaline and thrills Angels and Demons had, but the story and characters were treated better than The DaVinci Code. You should watch and judge by yourself.
