Those expecting the same type of film as Infernal Affairs will come away disappointed. Instead, this film should be watched as a crime DRAMA (not thriller) - and as such, it is fantastic and well done.
Great performances by all cast members - Francis Ng is more chilling and menacing than any crime boss in recent memory... A worthy prequel - although, unfortunately, it does create a plot hole for IA.
Still, another HK classic.
