Review of Infamous (2006) by Kunal M — 17 May 2008
This chronicle of Truman Capote's exhaustive immersion into his magnum opus 'In Cold Blood' suffers from an uneven tone and sketchy characterisation. Toby Jones plays the eccentric author with the required flamboyance, but by playing fast and loose with historical facts, the film transcends into a realm of fictional storytelling that replaces forthright reportage for tawdry sensationalism.
