Watched this movie for a french class. it is really long, but the landscapes and scenery in this movie are beautiful. the plot is somewhat engaging, but I didn't really sympathize with any of the characters.
it seemed the director just wanted to make an exotic looking and visually interesting film, which he succeeded in doing.
