Disappointing prequel to RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK finds our archaeologist-adventurer saddled with two irritating characters and a weak story. As Indy seeks to find a mystical stone, he stumbles upon a secret cult plotting a terrible plan in the catacombs of an ancient palace. Memorable, to be sure, but gross-out gags, and loud, obnoxious side characters may very well give you a headache. Visual Effects Won Oscar.
