Review of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) by Ryan V — 27 Mar 2012
Set shortly before Raiders of the Lost Ark, this sequel sees Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) chase after a magic rock while rescuing some distressed kids and the obligatory damsel-in-peril (Kate Capshaw).
The action scenes attempt to replicate the amazing sequences in Raiders and many of them actually pull it off. What hobbles this picture, unfortunately, are supporting characters that I personally find to be grating and almost unbearable.
If one can get past that, however, Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom is a solid follow-up to its classic predecessor.
