Review of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) by Bradley W — 07 Jul 2012

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is a action packed and thrilling movie, and is probably the most exciting film in the series. Raiders of the Lost Ark will always be the best film because of its story is fantastic story, great action and how it truly introduced the world to a new age in action films.

The Last Crusade truly shows how far Spielberg ha gone to make Indiana Jones one of the most fun trilogy's of all time. Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones still just blows the audience away with a fantastic character, and he wouldn't be as great without Ford's legendary performance.

Sean Connery plays Indiana's father and by far the best partner in any Indiana Jones film. The partners in Temple of Doom and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull were awful (although I did enjoy both films).

We get awesome boat chases, airplane battles, tank combat, motorcycle chases and legendary puzzles. Even the opening with Indiana as a child still makes me smile. This is definitly the most exciting Indiana Jones film, but I still feel that Raiders of the Lost Ark has the perfect story and set up for the series.

Raiders of the Lost Ark has that legendary opening where Indiana goes through all those traps to find the golden treasure and is chased by the giant rolling ball, and thats just one of the many thing that I love about this film.

The Last Crusade is a incredible film and one of my favorite action films, I just feel that it doesn't the story that matches the original. It does surpass the original in action, thrills and special effects however.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is a wonderful and exciting movie that really shows how passionate Spielberg was to send the trilogy off with a bang , and although I am one of the few who enjoyed Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, this is still the end of the legendary cinematic trilogy.
