Review of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) by Nnogohko — 08 Sep 2022

I got a chance to see this one as a limited re-release for the first time. Harrison Ford is just so amazing as Indy the addition of Sean Connery is perfect. His interaction with Indy is so hilarious I was gut busting laughing almost the entire time when these two were interacting.

The plot is familiar but it doesn't really matter because Spielberg directs everything with such bravado that I was completely onboard once again. Nobody understands adventure better than Spielberg and this movie is so purely adventurous and fun! The action sequences are better than most blockbusters made today despite this film being 30 years old and the finale is so adrenaline fueled and I loved it.

Everything is so practical and authentic and that is probably why it is still engaging. The Indiana Jones trilogy is truly one of the best adventure films ever made and this might be my favorite out of all of them along with Raiders.
