Review of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) by Tyler R — 21 Sep 2012
The third, and my second favorite, film in the Indiana Jones franchise finds Indiana Jones in a race against the Nazis on a quest for the Holy Grail. This time around, we are introduced to Henry Jones Sr.
, played brilliantly by Sean Connery, as the father that neglects his son, only to be be revealed that, like all cinematic fathers, only wanted to give his son his personal space. The acting, including Connery's, is top notch, with Harrison Ford playing a more emotional Indiana Jones.
The film is more lighthearted than the previous two, and the visual effects are very impressive, and still are to this day. The film never falters and neatly wraps up all of the story lines that it presents.
It was a very fitting conclusion, well, until the fourth one came out.
