After reading the reviews here I decided I should put my 2 cents in. If you didn't like it that's fine, but to blame it on the effects...is sort of ridiculous. The originals are known for amazing effects, why wouldn't they do the same here.
I felt the plot and script were good. The story was great. The idea was fun and interesting. I felt it was a fine piece of cinema.
