Review of Independence Day: Resurgence (2016) by A.j. S — 11 Aug 2016

Entertaining, but nothing beyond that. Unfortunately, I think the movie comes off a lot more cheesy than it does charming. Having constant action and a fast pace from the beginning made it feel exciting, but then they forgot to slow down and have character building moments.

Compare that to the first movie, that started slow with characters, and slowly built to a climactic intergalactic war. And it was good to see so many of the original cast, but they were not able to fill the shoes left by Will Smith.
