Independence Day: Resurgence. The wife and I decided to see what the fuss was all about with part two of the independence day franchise. After 20 years I have to say part 2 is a far second to the first part. It just did not have the same pa saz as the first part.

It does make you feel older and it does make you reminisce but it needed to have Will Smith back in it to glue it all together.

Having Bill Paulman and Jeff Goldblum is great and all and they did well to carry the film and Liam Hemsworth brought in the younger viewers but it still miss fired.

The movie is something that all can watch but younger viewers under 13 some parental guidance is required as the aliens do look kinda scarry.

It's funny how we have to watch a near world ending movie when we are on our knees and then the world powers state we are all one family etc...

Why can we not just have peace and understanding without catastrophic events?

Fans of the first one you have to watch this part. The movie was made by the same director that brought you the National Treasure movies starring Nick Cage.

2 hours is a tad too long for this film could have finished it in 90mins.

The setup of taking on the aliens took one hour.
