Review of Independence Day: Resurgence (2016) by Jb B — 03 Nov 2016
High hopes. Went in with a open mind but by the mid point of the movie, I was already wishing the credits to roll. Even if this movie didn't have a original to live up to, it was such a bland, under developed cast and story. Had a few plot points that were dumb and unnecessary, the only saving grace. THE ONLY saving grace was Jud Hirsh and Goldblum, their wit, charm and personality make this film watchable.
I would have rather seen a "buddy cop" movie with Jud Hirsh and Goldblum as father and son to solve an alien crash landing. That would have been better then this super disappointing sequel.
