Review of Independence Day: Resurgence (2016) by Hannah O — 22 Oct 2016

I was a fan of the first ID movie and I was looking forward to this one as I was keen to see how they would drive it forward.

How disappointing then to find the EXACT same story with very small variations and actually taking away almost all the cheesy fun and spirit from the original script!!

Apart from Jeff Goldblum who has the knack of being good in most things, this is an atrocity with plot lines that make no sense and a movie with no real opening, no suspense, no mind of its own and in reality no ending. It's a complete shambles.

Wasted actors, wasted opportunities and it has now wasted my time.

Don't watch it. If you are a fan, go back and watch the first one again.
