Not close to the story of the original. They recycle a lot of the same plot points. Not enough character building, as they seem to expect you to connect with the returning characters enough that they don't worry about building the story.

Some really cool action sequences, that would be even cooler if you cared why they were happening. 3 stars mainly for the cool fx.
