Review of Independence Day: Resurgence (2016) by Jeffrey C — 19 Nov 2016

I went into this with low expectations. It was worse than I expected but that doesn't make it good. It was cheesy all the way through. The inter-character drama was bad and I didn't really care who did or didn't like someone.

The bringing back of characters from the first movie was forced and that made it bad. No need to see Vivica die. She was such a side note that it was more humorous than sad. And how many times did the movie try to make you think they'd won only to find out there was more movie and then to end with a "definitely plan on having a sequel moment".

I didn't watch this in the theaters and doubt I'd go watch a new one at the cinema either.
