Everything was copied from Armageddon and every disaster film since. Most of it could have been forgiven except for the shameful recasting of Patty to make her a more conventional action movie hottie. Mae Whitman would have saved this movie (not really) but I guess she dodged a bullet leaving this mess off her resume.
