Review of Independence Day (1996) by Blake A — 14 Jul 2012
16 years after the media hype which precedented ID4 it's almost clear now that instead of being a serious 'sci-fi/end of the world' flick that ID4 was paying homage to past sci-movies of it's time.
Some parts became drawn out, others lacking in their SFX detail (I guess it was only '96 at the time) but the movie never tires of the Human v Alien agenda even if we do only see the aphodis only a handful of times.
